Grants, Service Charges and Financial Transparency
Auxesia Homes is a for-profit registered provider of social housing, regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing. We are committed to transparency in how public and private funding is used to deliver affordable homes.
Grants received: Auxesia Homes receives capital grant funding from Homes England to support the development of new affordable homes. Following our 2025 acquisition of the St Arthur Homes portfolio, we hold a Homes England grant allocation of £12.4m together with recycled capital grant funding of £632k, both ring-fenced to support our ongoing development programme. Grant funding is used solely for the purposes for which it was awarded, in line with the conditions set by Homes England and the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing.
Service charges: Service charge income collected from residents is used exclusively to fund the cost of the services provided to those homes, such as buildings insurance, communal repairs, estate management, and maintenance of shared areas. We do not use service charge income to cross-subsidise unrelated activities, and charges are reviewed annually in line with our published Value for Money commitments.
Financial statements: Our full audited Annual Report and Financial Statements, prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice for Social Housing Providers (Housing SORP) and applicable UK accounting standards, are published each year and filed with Companies House. They set out in detail our income, expenditure, assets, liabilities and the basis on which grant and service charge income is accounted for.
